Together, building inclusive, responsible, practical AI solutions reaching 100 million people by 2030.

The digital divide is real

Billions are at risk of being left behind as AI accelerates without their languages, data, or realities. The divide is widening — and no single institution can close it. Together, we can set shared standards, pool evidence, and drive AI that delivers opportunity, not inequality.

“Big AI will create a bigger disparity between the developed world and the developing world at the start. On the other hand, ‘small AI’—local models delivered on local devices—is going to be amazingly productive.”

Ajay Banga, President, World Bank Group

“The Government recognizes that AI is not just a technological tool, it is also a social and political one that can unite or divide. Therefore, the approach to AI must be inclusive and grounded in national values and local realities… It’s clear that AI use cases need to be human centered. It is about making sure AI serves the needs of 280 million Indonesians, not just the few cities nor elites”.

Vivi Yulaswati, Deputy Minister for Economic Affairs & Digital Transformation,  Indonesia

“Inclusive and responsible AI systems are essential to narrowing the digital divide and ensuring that technology serves all segments of society. The Alliance for Inclusive AI supports our efforts to build solutions that are locally and regionally relevant, accessible, and aligned with national priorities. We welcome collaboration that advances this shared vision.”

Stéphane Coulibaly, Director of Innovation, Startups and the Private Sector, Ministry of Digital Transition and Digitalization, Côte d’Ivoire

Driving Inclusive AI Together

The Alliance is an open, collaborative, practitioner-led effort to bring inclusive AI into the workflows of financial inclusion, agriculture, climate resilience, and digital public services across the Global South. We focus on what works, country pilots, shared infrastructure, open standards, and policy grounded in real-world experience, all powered by local talent and openly licensed public goods.

The Alliance is administratively hosted by a Delaware-registered 501(c)(3), enabling philanthropic contributions, pooled funding, and multi-partner collaboration.
